At least we still have music*

I am on the board of the Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association, and we had a board meeting this past Saturday.  After the meeting, my friend Ed (piano faculty at Seton Hill University) and I spoke about the current political turmoil and the ugliness of the election campaign.  Ed commented “Well, at least we still have music.” I haven’t been able to get his comment out of my mind, and I am not saying that lightly or in any way ironically.  So today, I feel compelled to write about something musical that inspires hope – a program at Walter Reed Army Medical Center called MusiCorps.
